Homemade Almond Milk

This delicious milk can be made in larger quantities and used for smoothies, soak your oats and chia seeds overnight for and instant breakfast.

Almond milk is low on the gi scale and helps maintain good blood sugar levels. Contains both manganese, and magnesium great for muscle and energy repair.

Dates are rich in dietary fiber, vitamin a to maintain good skin texture, vitamin k and rich in calcium manganese and copper all essential minerals. They are mother natures natural sugar without the guilt.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted, raw almonds
2 cups water

4 dates pitted

1 pinch of sea salt
1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 vanilla bean (optional)

Directions

1. Soak almonds in water overnight or for a few hours. Strain and rinse.

2. Place soaked almonds and 2 cups of water along with all other ingredients and blend well.

3. Over a large bowl, place a fine sieve and strain any skins that may not have blended.

4. Pour this beautiful milk into a glass mason jar and store in fridge for up to 5 days.
